Training Courses for Rigging Equipment
We offer a selection of Training Courses for Rigging Equipment.
The market of heavy lifting can be seen as a niche market, that means that there is a limited number of people with relevant experience and knowledge. We offer a selection of training courses for the users of equipment or for people who are otherwise in need of knowledge on rigging equipment. All courses are provided by our inspection- and QHSE (Quality Safety Health and Environment) manager Cor Dekker. Cor Dekker has been involved in steel wire industries since 1988 and has worked as a surveyor of rigging equipment for Lloyds Register® for fourteen years before joining United Offshore Services in 2013. He has written the inspection guidelines for shackles and is involved as a member of the IMCA M179 revision group where he had the chair in the end connections work group. In addition to maintaining and improving the QHSE aspects of our company, he has taken it upon himself to share this knowledge. He speaks from his accumulated knowledge and he administrates an archive of information and studies surrounding different subjects in relation to rigging equipment.
His courses can be given in Dutch as well as English and cover the following subjects (click on the link for a preview):
- Introduction to Steel Wire Ropes
